IT'S TIME TO RACE

I used to crawl but now I stand,
Like chayiminina tente
Sending a message to them haters like pyepye,
Getting ahead of them naka skele

Am one step ahead,
They cant find me cause am touch and go
Step by step I go
Stagnation I let go

And progress I grab hold,
Taking life one step at a time
This is my time
Time to stand and start walking,

Gone are the days I was falling and failing
Today I start working
Working out my life and aligning myself to success
Cause all I need is to make a decision

To choose between failure and success
Hence I choose success,
Henceforth I will go forth
Grabbing life by the horns,

Uprooting all those thorns that tore me apart
Thorns that have brought me down low to the ground,
This is now my round,
Entering the ring like Esther Phiri bakamba

Its time for a knockout,
Left, right, jab, uppercut
And down goes failure,
It tried to lure me from my destiny but now its no more

For I am a child of destiny
And success is my portion
I am an image of perfection
And failure has no place in my progression

It just has sit back and watch the procession
To my destination
As I take every step to my destination
And moving with divine concentration,

This is my plea to my generation
Dont live in the confusion of your condition
But take charge of your situation,
Its easy to sit and cry over your lack of progress

But guess what?
Thats the reason you are still stagnant
Re-living your life over and over again
Like a song playing on repeat 

Wont get you to your destiny
Be wise!
And take life like an athlete in a race,
Having your eyes glued on the finish line throughout the race,

Taking off those heavy clothes of worry,
Fear, uncertainty, problems, circumstances,
For they will slow you down
Put on those tights of hope and shoes of perseverance,

But let me warm you, in this race,
Some will cheer you on, others will pull you down
But hey!
None of that matters 

What matters is whether you reach the finish line or not,
So dont pay attention to them,
Pay attention to your race cause thats all you have,
And remember this, you have your own lane to run in,

So how the athlete next to you runs matters not
Whether they are ahead or behind you doesnt either
So mind your lane
And please dont sit back waiting for a day of luck

Grab your athletic gear and lets go,
The running track is set,
On marks, get set, go,
See you at the finish line
